PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This page explains how information is handled by Recept TV, an Android TV app.

Established / last updated: July 30, 2026

1. Scope

This privacy policy applies to the current core functionality of Recept TV, an Android TV app provided by Kaizu Electric Co., Ltd. ("we" / "us"), which operates within an on-site LAN.

2. Information handled

Recept TV stores, on the TV device itself, the reception number, destination, short call text, notification identifier, and timestamp received from a PC, smartphone, or tablet on-site. It also stores display, audio, and public Google Slides URL settings, and an administrative code, on the device.

The current core functionality does not include our own advertising, analytics, crash reporting, user accounts, or sending call information to our cloud. We do not collect location data, camera footage, microphone audio, contacts, or photos/videos through the app.

3. Purpose of use

Information stored on the device is used for call display, history, re-calling, spoken announcements, idle-screen display, device settings, recovery of the receiving service, and maintenance checks requested by the user.

There is no need to enter names or similar identifying information. We recommend that operators use reception numbers rather than patient or customer names, and send only the minimum information necessary.

4. Communication and third-party services

Recept TV's core communication happens within the same LAN managed by the facility. The current local API uses HTTP rather than HTTPS, so it should only be used on a trusted on-site network and never exposed directly to the internet.

If an administrator enables the public Google Slides display, the TV device accesses the specified Google URL directly. In this case, Google may handle standard web-access information such as IP address and browser/device information in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy policy. We do not have a feature that obtains Google account credentials.

If spoken announcements are enabled, Recept TV passes the call text to a TTS engine installed on the Android device. Whether the TTS engine processes this on-device or communicates with a provider's server depends on the engine used and device settings. Facility operators should check the terms and privacy settings of whichever TTS engine is in use.

5. Retention and deletion

Call history keeps the most recent 5-20 entries (as configured) on the device; older entries beyond that limit are deleted. Users can delete individual history entries. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes the on-device history and settings. Exported settings do not include history or the administrative code. We keep no copy of this core functionality's data in our cloud.

6. Security

Recept TV operates using a combination of the administrative code, Android special-access permissions, the foreground service's notification, and management of the on-site network. Facility operators should properly secure their LAN and Wi-Fi, avoid disclosing the administrative code to unauthorized third parties, and keep the device and app up to date.

7. Our collection and disclosure

Under the current local core functionality, we do not automatically collect, sell, or share on-device call history for advertising purposes. If a user voluntarily provides us with logs or screen information for support purposes, we handle it only to the extent necessary to respond to the inquiry. Please remove any information that could identify a patient or customer before providing it.

8. Future feature changes

If we add a cloud relay, remote device management, accounts, analytics, remote logging, external connectors, or similar features, we will re-evaluate the data flow before release and update this policy and the in-app explanations accordingly. We will obtain user consent where required.

9. Analytics on this website

This website (recept.tv) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and improve its content. Google Analytics may handle pages viewed, referral source, approximate region, device/browser information, and on-page interactions.

On first visit, storage of analytics cookies is denied by default. Analytics cookies are stored only if you choose "Allow." Even when declined, Google's consent mode may still make limited, cookie-less communication. You can change your choice any time from "Analytics settings" at the bottom of each page.

Reception numbers, call content, the administrative code, and on-site LAN settings within the app are never sent to Google Analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles information.
